The Pursuit Experience: Alternative to a Tux Rental! / by Angela Fortin Washington

Guy's, this one's for you..ok so let's be real, it's probably the woman who picks out the suits..but that doesn't matter..I have found an alternative to renting an expensive and ill-fitting tux that you don't even get to KEEP! While attending the "I DO Wedding Expo" a couple of weeks ago, I met Nate from Pursuit, and learned about his shop on OSU campus. I think it is safe to say that, for most weddings, us women get all of the attention, not to mention, choices when it comes to wedding attire; but I believe it is just as important for the the guy to feel confident and stylish too!

Wouldn't it be great if your groom felt just as handsome as you felt beautiful on your wedding day? Pursuit gives your wedding party the option to not only look good for your wedding, but also get a pretty fantastic fitting suit to wear in the future.

I went there this week to test-drive the experience..

All their suits are slim fit and are flattering on most bod types (even the bulky athletic type :)

To customize your wedding party's look, they stock a variety of fun ties and bow ties, and if they don't have it, they can probably get it in.

To keep it simple, they only stock five different suits, which you can buy as separates as well (great for parties that are skipping out on the jacket)

It is recommended to give the shop two months notice before a wedding to ensure everything is just the way you want. Alterations are done through them and are very affordable! You can even bring your other suits and shirts there to get tailored! For John, the only tailoring he needed was a collar extender. This tool is for people who have a larger neck, but smaller measurements for the rest of their shirt. The store sell them and you can find them on amazon too.

So if you are curious, visit the store on OSU campus and see how they fit! They will be starting their online store soon too.

How to Rock Your Engagement Session Tips & Tricks!

Planning a wedding can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Let this photoshoot be something you really just enjoy together and let's have some fun! Here are my best tips and tricks to making your engagement photoshoot the best it can be.

Brittany & Andrew's Chilly Walk Through Scioto Audubon Park (engagement)

We may have ended the session with frozen fingers, but it wasn't due to the lack of warmth between these two people. Since they booked over the phone, the Audubon Park was the first place we all actually got to meet. Right away I felt an ease with them, I loved Brittany's choice to wear a red dress (especially in March with everything not quite blooming and still frosted from winter) and I could tell they had so much respect for one another. When I asked them what they love about their relationship, they both said they appreciated the other's loyalty. We started off our session with a little something to keep them warm, my favorite, tea by the water.

A Kitty Lover's Engagement at Rockmill Brewery & Home

It's not too often I get the request to capture cat families, but when Kristin & Harmon invited me to their home to start their session with their five (yes, five) kitties, I was in for the adventure. These two have a unique kind of love and style that makes them so much fun to hang out with. Anytime a couple is comfortable with each other, it makes my job so easy..they laugh like I'm not there and don't shy away from snuggling up in front of the camera. I was expecting the cats, but what I didn't know was Kristin had set up an whole studio for us to shoot in their basement-eccentric and very them..and it was perfect. The more you get into personalizing your session, the more comfortable you are and the more personal the images feel.
